Belfast based worship leader, Johnny Parks has led worship at Spring Harvest, Cross Rhythms, Soul Survivor, Summer Madness, Worship Together and many more events, in both the UK and around the world. Johnny was also featured a couple of years ago on Survivor’s ‘emerge’ series with his 7 track live album 'Close to You' recorded by Paul Burton.

‘Almighty Sound’, his last album with Survivor, is produced by Sam Gibson, who has mixed albums for Tim Hughes, Newsboys and Delirious?. It is a skillfully crafted album of anthemic and reflective psalm-like songs. Themes of justice and a call for true worship weave through this collection of songs.

The album includes guest vocal appearances from Tim Hughes and a duet with Vicky Beeching on Season Of Singing. The eleven tracks on Almighty Sound includes a studio recording of Johnny’s song Glory (also featured on ‘Close to You’) which has previously been sung by American worship leader Chris Tomlin on the Sacred Revolution DVD.

If you are not familiar with the music that Johnny creates or the way he leads worship we think you will find it uplifting. Johnny is not afraid to break the mould and push into new musical territories, yet his music has an appeal for a wide age range. It is music that will engage your soul and draw you heavenwards. You will feel encouraged, hopeful, challenged and inspired.

In 2006 Johnny had a busy year performing at events and festivals across the UK to include Worship Belfast with Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman. This year Johnny is full time in his ministry and will be touring with Chris Tomlin in the USA as well as preparing for his new album which is due for release in September 2007.
