With a memorable name (pronounced why Friday?), and an even more memorable ministry, Yfriday never fail to make a long lasting impression. Based in Newcastle - England, the band are heavily involved in working towards revival amongst young people, and have been instrumental in many turning to Jesus, many being healed, and many more meeting and falling deeper in love with God.

Ken Riley says, "The presence of God is the most infectious experience anyone can have, it is unique, awesome and life changing, and once encountered you simply can never be the same again." Yfriday have a unique brand of kicking guitar based tracks that are not out of place on the airwaves of both Christian and mainstream radio stations, so much so, that mainstream record stores across the UK recognised the band's promise and in 2001 included Yfriday singles on their shelves. Their 1st single 'Head over Heels' made the UK charts.

The story though, is not one of a thirst for upward mobility, but one of outward ministry and it is in these circumstances that Yfriday’s live performances come alive. With a pioneering, gig worship style - imagine a high energy performance combined with vertical glory and worship to God and you're about there - it is clear that the fruit of the ministry is to lead people into God's presence, where salvation, healing and grace flow.

Yfriday have close links with British Youth for Christ, and have been a fundamental ingredient in the success of 9th Hour, a monthly youth event in the band's hometown held at the Newcastle City Hall. Over time 9th hour has grown, to the extent where it was ready to host it's second Arena date, where thousands of young people gathered to party with God.

October 2003 saw the release of their album Revolution and in March 2006 Survivor released their latest album Universal, bringing themes of the grace and magnificence of God right through to God's hunger for justice on earth. Produced by Nathan Dantzler (Tree63, Casting Pearls) the band still deliver God inspired themes through a huge wall of sound!

In November 2006 Yfriday embarked on their 18 date Universal tour across the UK with support from LZ7 and Titus.

Yfriday have played at many events and festivals to include, Ne:one, Festival: Manchester, Greenbelt, Spring Harvest, Grapevine, Newday and many more.
